Thanks Nicole, I actually had my transfer yesterday instead of Tuesday because I have developed OHSS and the RE was concerned about transferring. I was
really sick and throwing up on Tuesday so RE hooked me up to IV and I stayed there part of the day. So on Wednesday we transferred 2 embies instead of 5 like
originally planned, but that's OK since we got to transfer.

Wow - I'm surprised that they even transferred any embies in.... I was throwing up as well and they wouldn't even think about transferring ANY back
into me. I also had to get 2 liters of fluid drained out of me as well - not fun at all.... I hope that everything goes well! Good luck!

Ugh, so sorry about the OHSS!
That is awful! I'm glad they still got to transfer a couple embies though!! Stick stick stick!! I really hope you feel

About 2 solid weeks - I was throwing up for 4 days, even with nauseau meds, then after they drained me, was when I actually felt that I would live! I was in a
lot of pain from the fluid.

I had 2 liters of fluid drained to day and what relief...still feel crappy, but better. I also had to go back to RE's and have blood drawn to check my
levels and I asked if it was possible to have my beta early because yesterday when I was at RE's again he said he "suspected" I was pg since I
took a turn for the worse....so they did and I'M PREGNANT!!!!!! My beta is 90, I will go back Thursday for a repeat. I'm soooooo excited.

Thank you ladies, our transfer was 5/28 and retrieval was 5/22 so would I be 13dpo? Not sure how to figure that out, but it's something like that. I have
called just about everyone I know (well at least everyone that knew we were doing IVF). I always thought I would be cautious and wait until I was farther
along, but I've been waiting 5 years to say I'm pg so I just couldn't wait!
So it seems like 90 is a pretty good number? I feel really good about this and I'm not even stressed for my next beta, just thinking positive thoughts

90 seems good to me at only 13DPO!I found this online for average rates in pregnancy, so looks like yours is on the high end!:
10 DPO: 10 - 50 mIU/ml HcG 13 DPO: 20 - 100 mIU/ml HcG 16 DPO: 40 - 200 mIU/ml HcG 19 DPO: 80 - 400 mIU/ml HcG 22 DPO: 160 - 800 mIU/ml HcG I wouldn't have waited either, in fact I didn't really wait much with either pregnancy, I figure whatever is going ot happen is going to happen,
it's in God's hands, so I just enjoyed it whether they would have lasted 9 months or 2 days! It would still be a wonderful miracle either way! I'm
just beaming for you! How did your DH take the news???

Thanks ladies, I'm crying now after reading all your posts
DH is really excited, I think he's told more people than I have which I thought was
unusual because he's been so stubborn through all this, but yet at the same time so supportive(hard to explain. I just thought he would be like "oh
yeah we're having a kid", but everytime he talks to anyone he tells them, it was even his idea to start telling everyone and once we started...we
couldn't stop. He's been such a trooper taking care (meals, laundry, housework) of me while I've been so sick, I'm really lucky.
I've been up since 4:30 am, had to go pee and then couldn't go back to sleep...so here I am. I will post my beta results as soon as I get them. |
