I guess I should add that we do go out to eat (cost of anywhere from $35-75 once a week), I do get my hair done about every 2-3 months, and can sometimes buy
stuff for myself (B & B Works, clothes, etc)... it's just sooo hard to know that now I have to check my balance before I do any spendiing like that. We
aren't homebodies b/c of it and I refuse to be that way... but we don't'/can't do as much as we used to.
I do feel lucky in that I can work part time... and when my mom is feeling nice, she'll buy Truett clothes (or ME |

Dave Ramsey has many books. The Total Money Makeover is very helpful, but he has several others as well. He also has a website www.daveramsey.com And he has a
great radio program that I enjoy listening to while I'm at work. I listen to it online while working. It keeps me motivated and helps me to remember why I
work and why I invest, and save, etc.

we do ok, basically paycheck to paycheck unless DH works some side jobs. We have to pay for DH's and Lucy's health insurance out of pocket so that is
hard and I put money into Lucy's college account each month. we do not go out any more and now that we have two.. so far it hasn't been bad. I saved
all of Lucy's old clothes and the girls share a room. Lucy goes to school part time now so that saves us money and Casey will stay home with various family
members.
My parent's help us out every once in a while by buying major items for us.. like a tv and a fridge when ours went out. We do want to buy a house but not sure if we will be able to. We do own DH's car and mine will be paid off in December. |

There was a time, until about 2 years ago, when I could claim to be living comfortably. It's getting tighter with each passing year though...
We still have no problems making any of our payments and don't have any debts (other than our mortgage and car payments of course), we do get extras, but just not as often anymore. Before, we could afford to go out for dinner as a family of 4 at a nice restaurant at least once a week. We went to the movies, I could buy clothes for myself without having to worry about it, and we had money in the savings to go on vacation once a year at least. Now we have to watch how often we go out, and we are lucky if it happens twice a month. I always buy clothes for the children first, and am often left without much money for myself. As for vacations, I think we went on our last big one this May. I don't expect another holiday like that for a long time in the future. I did feel the difference with 2 kids, I won't lie. It's not just about the diapers and milk, nor is it about the clothing... All the other expenses have doubled too. Doctor's visits, daycare, food.... I can't imagine what it will be like when they are teenagers! And to think we are adding a 3rd! I am confident we will be okay financially, but I know it will probably mean even more sacrifices!
