thank you for all of your prayers. alisa has pulled through...she is going to make it. She had several blood transfusions due to losing so much blood, as the bullet exited her neck it nicked several arteries, narrowly missing her jugular (sp?) and they couldnt stop the bleeding for a while. I am a true believer in the power of prayer after seeing this. Alisa has been talking since being taken off the vent, is aware of his death, and has not said an unkind word about him. I cant figure it out. I know it was her husband, but for God's sake he tried to kill her.....but she hasnt said anything bad about him. It's like she isnt mad at him. I dont understand, but then again I dont need to. It's awful no matter how you look at it, but thankfully the children still have their mother and the families are getting along really well still and raising the kids while she is in Hermann Hospital's Trauma center. But thank you again for your thoughts and prayers and I will pass them along.


Also, my uncle who worked with Matt on the Fire Department told me that as he walked down the street after shooting her, he had the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger and the gun didnt fire. Then he walked further and pulled it again and it still did not fire. The 3rd time, it fired. I cant imagine pulling it a second time, if it didnt fire the first. much less 3 times. I cant imagine what was going through his head then.
