I hope you're both getting enough sleep to manage.....how often do your little guys wake up to eat? BTDT Posts: 1541 08/06/2008 8:27 PM	Awwww, thanks for thinking about us, Melissa! My little Christian is doing great! He eats like crazy and he's a really good sleeper for a newborn. With Gabe, he woke up every 2 hours on the dot. But Christian can go 3 and 4 hours sleeping. I actually don't feel too sleep deprived. It feels like he's always been here and we're all just enamored by him. I just sit and stare at him while holding him. He's got several places to sleep - crib, bassinet, our bed, play yard - but he prefers to sleep in his carseat! He'll sleep for hours in that thing. I also feel like I'm still recovering. I went to the grocery store the other night, during the 6PM rush hour - bad idea - and I really shouldn't have gone. I pushed myself a little and by the time I was home I was exhausted and grumpy. Sending DH from now on. I have to keep reminding myself to take it easy and rest. I just can't wait until I'm out and about again with the baby. Gabe is loving having his little brother around. I think he thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal but he's gaga over him. He tries to hold him any chance he gets and has even told ME to watch Christian's head when I hold him. It's awesome to see and I can't believe I'm the mom of TWO boys now. It happened so fast. I feel so blessed. Melissa - I can't wait for your turn!!!

I guess you just have to learn to take it easy, but it sounds like you have already. What a good baby he is! And I have to say I love the pics in your siggy, the one where Gabe is holding him is precious!

Oldtimer Posts: 9696 08/07/2008 7:56 AM Find me @ cs.yuku.com!	Collin wakes up every 3-4 hours also sometimes longer. I have to get up around midnight to give him his meds and if it isnt time to feed him i normally pump. All this kid does is sleep, eat and poop. He is starting to be more alert now. some in the evening and some at night around 6 or so. I try to pump every 3 hours but sometimes i am just busy, but i noticed yesterday that when i didnt my supply was going down so i am going to make an effort to pump every 2 today. Mallory does really well with him. she has a stool that she has by the changing table and she watches me change his diaper. and will even take his dirty clothes to his hamper. Thanks for filling us in--that is so great for you both that your babies wake every 3-4 hours--that's perfect--lucky you!! And yes Shauna, you take it easy--I can't believe you already went to the grocery store! I'm sure it's hard not to though-you dont' realize your limitations sometimes....and that's so awesome that Gabe is so in love with his brother--how precious is that! What a perfect little family you have there! Tara, I'm so happy to hear that Collin is doing so well--he sounds so content! BTDT Posts: 1541 08/07/2008 11:10 AM	How cute! Little Mallory has her own stool so she can watch you. Polly - It has gone really well where the baby is concerned. His needs are pretty minimal and so far he doesn't have any signs of colic. It's not ALL easy, though. I still itch like crazy, it almost feels like it's reared its ugly head again. So I'm waiting for that to go away. I also have so much milk, it's uncomfortable. I could probably feed a few more kids with these things. I had to pump some out because the baby just wasn't interested at the time. But I'm afraid if I pump I'll increase the milk supply and have even more than I have now. I know it should regulate in a couple weeks.
